Top 5 things to look forward to at Disney World in 2019

Disney World Resorts in Orlando Florida will be bringing some new entertainment to the parks this new year including dance parties, race car driving and of course, Star Wars.


Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebration If you didn’t get to shake your behind enough at The Incredibles or Lion King celebration parties then you can join Mickey and Minnie along with friends at Magic Kingdom. The “Move It! Shake it! MousekeDance It! Street Party” will be parading throughout different times beginning at Main Street, U.S.A. and head toward Cinderella’s Castle. Singing hosts will invite you to join while keeping things energized with modern remixes of famous “Mickey Mouse Club” tunes. You might even get a chance to dance with one of many loveable characters like Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Max, Chip ‘n Dale and many others!


Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy

In just a few months fans of Pixar’s Cars films will be able to enjoy a brand-new show experience in Spring of 2019. Racing legend Lightning McQueen will be greeting fans face-to-face in Disney’s Hollywood studios. Guests will speed down the track while learning from the best! Not only that but some untold stories of Lightning McQueen will be shared by Lightning McQueen himself!


Star Wars Galaxy Edge

Much later into 2019 Hollywood Studios will be unveiling its most anticipated transformation of the year. Although an official date has not been announced, it has been confirmed that Star Wars Land will be opening in the late fall. Two brand-new attractions will include control of the Millennium Falcon and experiencing a battle of the First Order and the Resistance.


Outside the parks

Pack your bags for the Mediterranean-inspired Disney’s Riviera Resort. The new resort, with an estimated 300-units, is scheduled to open in fall 2019. Located next to the Caribbean Beach Resort, it will be the 15th Disney Vacation Club property.

The much-anticipated Disney Skyliner also is expected to open in fall 2019. The suspended gondolas will connect Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot with Disney’s Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, Disney’s Riviera Resort, and Reflections, a deluxe, nature-inspired resort that will feature more than 900 hotel rooms.

If you plan on visiting Walt Disney World in 2019 the best time would be Early Spring or Late Fall. Not only will you be one of the first to see the new entertainment, but the weather will be much cooler!


Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Definitely, the most anticipated Disney event of 2019, Disneyland Resort and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will debut their new Star Wars-themed lands in 2019. This new area of the park will feature two headlining attractions. The first puts visitors behind the wheel of the Millennium Falcon in Smugglers Run while Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance puts you in the middle of an epic battle between the Resistance and the First Order. The new areas will also include eateries, a Moroccan-style open-market and so much more!
