Disney World Reopening

It will be magical with differences but great excitement as always as Disney World begins July 11th to reopen theme parks with new safety and health methods along with new mobile technologies, a temporary pausing of events which draw crowds, but keeping the experience real and memorable. If you are over the age of two, masks are required and masks are available online featuring Disney characters. Temperatures will be checked upon arrival. If over 100.4, no entry will be allowed nor for other members of the party. Park signage and cast members will help in practicing social distancing with guests. Check your temperatures before coming as an extra precaution. Parades and nighttime spectaculars will "return at a later date." Using online check-in for Disney Hotels is encouraged to bypass the front desk and to receive a text for the door opening through the app. The addition of scannable codes offers digital menus at select restaurants. Make certain you download the latest app version. MagicBands can be used to streamline contactless purchases. Cast members will make up a "social distance squad" to encourage social distancing guidelines. Guests may only visit one park in a day, so no park hopping but Disney recently unveiled the Disney Park Pass System, requiring park reservations in addition to tickets. Disney characters will still be around but character greetings are temporarily unavailable. Fastpass+ and Extra Magic Hours are temporarily suspended. Disneyland Paris will reopen July 15th and over several dates through September. Disney's Sequoia Lodge Hotel and Disney's Davy Crocket Ranch will reopen later. Guests with non-dated tickets should register on Disneyland Paris' new online reservation system for park entry before arriving at the parks. Spaceship Earth will not be closing as previously planned. You can still snap a selfie with characters, although you may not be able to give Mickey Mouse a hug. Available experiences at each theme park  are listed on the Disney website. A modified version of "A Taste of Epcot International Food & Wine Festival" will debut July 15th  and continue into fall. More than 20 stands will offer global cuisine and musical entertainment throughout the park. Eat to the Beat Concert series is suspended in 2020 but Disney has not yet made a decision regarding Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Disney World says "it's going to be different, but magical nonetheless." Much foresight and thought, as only Disney can accomplish, has happened and changes to help with safety and public protection have occurred. A constant self-overview is Disney's goal towards a great Disney World experience.
